No other countries have as many women leaders as India. Some of these game changers wear the hats of many firsts – like stepping out of the family tradition and being the first working lady in the household, joining business with children, and jostling past male competitors to top the chart of successful entrepreneurs and caliber personalities. Take up Forbes and there you have a long list of Women entrepreneurs. With the focus shifting to women leaders these days, it’s not unworthy of companies to appoint women as company heads and CEOs. However the number of women office workers is much higher than the number of women Entrepreneurs. Discussing the topic this month we had India’s prominent Insurance broking firm and one of the best auto insurance companies around, Ideal Insurance Pvt. Ltd organize a very exciting and unique workshop on “Women Entrepreneurs”.

The idea behind this workshop was to inspire women come out of the “domestic closet” and evaluate career potentials through entrepreneurial skills. According to Rahul Agarwal, CEO, Ideal Insurance more women are breaking free from the traditional, gender-specific roles and venturing into the business world. They are not only holding high corporate positions but are also successful women entrepreneurs. So keeping this in mind, Ideal Insurance organised a workshop – “Women Entrepreneurs – The Game Changers” to assist the women in their endeavour. The objective was to guide women to overcome business stress and challenges, make them learn how to consolidate and scale-up a business and acquire multitasking skills for a balanced lifestyle.

A group of speakers such as – Prof. Parimal Merchant (Director – FMB, S P Jain Institute of Management & Research), Ms. Richa Sharma (Former Mrs. India International), Ms. Manju Sethia(Owner Mon Art Galleria and Krazy for Chocolates), Ms. Atreyee Borooah Thekedath (Founder, Web.Com (India) Pvt. Ltd)and Mr. Rahul Agarwal (Founder, Director of Ideal Insurance) were present to speak and share their experience to motivate the woman entrepreneur.

Mr. Parimal Merchant spoke about ‘How to Manage Business Growth and Meet Family Expectations’. Ms. Richa Sharma shared her experience of her journey from being a small town girl to winning the international pageant; she emphasized on belief saying ‘If you believe in your dream it might come true but if you believe in yourself it will come true’. Being a versatile woman of today, Ms. Manju Sethia stated that ‘It’s never too late to do the Right Thing’. Ms. Atreyee Borooah Thekedath spoke on ‘Different aspects of My Life’, she gave insights about representing India at G20 YES held at Nice, France. Mr. Rahul Agarwal spoke on how financial planning is a very essential thing for the growth of any kind of business because ‘After all Money Matters!’

Mr. Rahul Agarwal (Founder, Director of Ideal Insurance) also added, “We are very proud to be hosting such a prestigious workshop. This workshop will help many women entrepreneurs to get the correct exposure and experience required for the cut-throat competitive world of today.
