Kolter Homes

“Wait this feels like a real neighborhood.” That’s what my father had to say when he took a look at the homes at Verandah down in Fort Myers, Florida. You see my mother and father are finally ready to move closer to their grandkids down here in South Florida. I grew up in Atlanta but now that my sister and I are both out of college, married and have children of our own, we wanted to get my parents down here.

It took a lot of back and forth with my sister and I as we talked to my parents but in the end they realized that the house in Atlanta was both too far away from their grandkids but also too big for them to take care of by themselves. And after all this place Verandah is really great. It’s tucked into a beautiful location within a natural setting of oaks and winding paths. They call it a master-planned community because the builders take everything into account when they are deciding where and why they will build. It’s on the banks of the beautiful Orange River in East Fort Myers.

Verandah is a Fort Myers active adult community and was developed as an environmentally friendly “green” community.  Just five minutes from I-75. It also features award-winning Jack Nicklaus golf courses; 9 miles of nature trails and grand preserve areas; an oak-shaded river; parks; wetlands, and lakes.  The oak-shaded river weaves its way through neighborhoods of traditional Florida architecture. Florida’s custom homebuilder, Kolter Homes, built this little community. They have brought more than a decade of experience in Florida homebuilding to each of its neighborhoods.
