EMI and UMPG music publishing corporations have admitted to wrongfully claiming copyright on the recordings of celebrated virtuoso pianist Stanislav Yovanovitch in a recent email exchange.

The dishonest and offensive Youtube notice “Your video may contain content owned by EMI and/or UMPG” appeared on a large number of Mr. Yovanovitch’s videos earlier this year, suggesting that the mega corporations owned tracks from “Live Recordings of the Royal Concerts 1989” double CD, Amazing Masterpeices CD and samples from the thirty four year old, fifteen CD catalog of virtuoso masterpeices of Chopin, Liszt and Rachmaninoff etc., uploaded to Youtube by Voyagerlegends, publisher of the Amazon listed recordings.

The Yovanovitch solo recordings have never been licensed and are considered historically important and the equal of Sviatoslav Richter archive.

“Content match” notices appearing automatically on Youtube are the result of a directive to EMI and UMPG etc., from Vice President Joe Biden in his Youtube “Roundtable on piracy with government officials and entertainment executives” in December 2010 intended to curb foreign, including Chinese piracy.

In a remarkable “About Face” Stanislav Yovanovitch, Honorary Professor in a major Chinese University has suffered attempted piracy and defamation of character condemed by the very same executives attending the Vice Presidents “Roundtable on piracy” in 2010.

The celebrated pianist, regarded as one of Europe’s most compelling interpreters of Liszt and Chopin will tour the US in February 2012 with a few benefit recitals for charitable organizations.
