Former Northern Colorado teacher arrested on multiple child sex crime charges

LARIMER COUNTY, Colo. – A  Citadel Collins man, who worked as a trainer within the discipline, became arrested final week on suspicion of child sexual assault on a baby by an particular individual in a discipline of have confidence.

In October 2019, the Larimer County Sheriff’s Office Investigations Division was contacted by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children regarding a CyberTip and LCSO began an investigation.

During the investigation, a search warrant was obtained for the home of Daniel Gerschitz Fleishman (12/22/1980) in the 1100 block of North Overland Trail in Fort Collins.

Several computers and cellular phones were seized, and evidence recovered from those devices led to the arrest of Fleishman on November 15, 2019.

Daniel Gerschitz Fleishman became arrested on Friday after investigators served a search warrant at his dwelling within the 1100 block of North Overland Path, according to a Larimer County Sheriff’s Office news unencumber.

He was booked into the Larimer County Jail on the following allegations and bond was set at $250,000:
Sexual Exploitation of a Child – Production of Child Abusive Material (class 3 felony)
Sexual Exploitation of a Child – Possession > 20 Images of Child Abusive Material (class 4 felony) Sexual Exploitation of a Child – Possession > 1 Video of Child Abusive Material (class 4 felony) Unlawful Electronic Sexual Communications by One in Position of Trust (class 4 felony)
Sexual Assault on a Child by One in Position of Trust (class 4 felony)
Invasion of Privacy for Sexual Gratification (class 1 misdemeanor)

Daniel Fleishman

Fleishman became a plump-time trainer with the Thompson Faculty District from 2016 to 2018, the sheriff’s discipline of enterprise stated. He worked as a replacement trainer with the Poudre Faculty District from 2008 to 2016, and with Thompson from 2009 to 2016.

Some of the above allegations occurred while Fleishman was working for local school districts. Fleishman was employed by Poudre School District as a substitute teacher from 2008 to 2016 and Thompson School District from 2009 to 2016. He was a full-time teacher for Thompson School District from 2016 to 2018.
