As you probably know, the losing presidential candidate from the last presidential election, Democrat Hillary Clinton has just released a tell all book titled What Happened as a way to explain what really went on in her campaign and why she lost the election to her opponent, Republican Donald Trump.

The book also tried to explain what happened during the Democratic party primaries in which she defeated popular outsider, Vermont Independent Senator Bernie Sanders in a race that brought a lot of rancor and created a rift that is still being felt in the party until today.

As should be expected, the book is doing pretty well commercially as can be ascertained from looking at sales figures from popular book seller, Amazon. While on the site, Icouldn’t help but take a gander at the reviews being given to the book. The thing that jumps out at you when you look at the reviews is the polarization therein.

It shows what we’ve always known about Hillary Clinton, and that is that she’s a very polarizing figure.

She’s someone you either like or you hate, and there’s no middle ground. The reviews on this book follows that pattern so I decided to pick out some of the funniest ones I could find from her non fans, obviously. Enjoy.

1.0 out of 5 stars Don’t waste your money

Junk, page after page of her blaming everyone but her self. I think everyone knows what happened but her.

1.0 out of 5 stars What do you think happened? It’s not that difficult.

By DFDalton on September 13, 2017

Format: Hardcover

I can tell you “what happened” without you having to spend your hard-earned money: Take an undeserving candidate with more skeletons in her closet than the Catacombs of Paris, and possessing the overwhelming charisma of Walter Mondale plus the sterling personal character of Richard Milhous Nixon and send her out on a campaign that primarily involves flying between fundraisers in Manhattan and Hollywood while calling everyone else in between “deplorable”. Not exactly a recipe for success.

The magnitude of the failure – given that her run as the first female Democrat candidate for President was historic, she had 99% of the country’s “unbiased” main stream news media and the entire pop culture establishment working tirelessly to elect her, and she was running against as easy a target as Donald Trump – is staggering. And no Hillary, it had nothing to do with “misogyny”. You could probably have picked a random woman out of the phone book, proctored her for a month on Democrat Party talking points and, given the way the deck was stacked, she would have slaughtered Trump at the polls.

1.0 out of 5 stars Plenty of blame to go around, but none for the candidate herself?

By Glennman8 on September 13, 2017

Format: Hardcover

Clinton blames everyone but herself in this memoir of a failed Presidential candidate. I guess this is what happens when the losing candidate tries to publish a book complaining about losing an election. I don’t think I’ve seen this before in my lifetime. Don’t bother buying it now, the book is garbage, just terrible. BUT, if you have a passing interest in reading it, just wait a few months, the half price book stores will be flooded with them. I’d bet they’ll even have some autographed copies there. Yes. It’s that bad.

1 out of 5 stars I read this book hoping to gain some key insight …

By D. Mack on September 13, 2017

Format: Hardcover

I read this book hoping to gain some key insight into the Clinton campaign, but instead all I got was a muddled mess of excuses for the supposedly most qualified candidate ever to run for president losing to someone who had never run for any office. Throughout the book, Hillary can’t comprehend the pulse of the everyday American and at one point inexplicably interprets the message of 1984 by George Orwell as being “people have to trust their leaders more”. Did she even read that book? If she had, maybe she’d understand why people weren’t keen on her.

Seriously, if I wanted to hear about how someone’s failure is on everyone but them, I’ll talk to my 3 year old when she breaks something. Oh wait, my 3 year old even knows how to accept her failures as her own.

0 out of 5 stars Anything and everything but herself .. ‘Covfefe’

By RJ Parker on September 12, 2017

Format: Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase

It’s pathetic and immature that Clinton can’t accept personal responsibility for her loss. She was a terrible candidate and had a hard time defeating Bernie. Only for the super-delegates in California, Bernie would have beaten her.

But, according to Hillary, ‘What Happened’ was …

Suburban women didn’t like her

The Russians interferred

The FBI and James Comey

Facebook

Twitter

Wikileaks

Bernie Sanders

TV Executives

Cable News

Fake News

The Democrats

The Republicans

Low informed voters

The ‘Deplorables’

Content farms in Macedonia

Obama winning two terms

Bad polling numbers

But of course Donald Trump didn’t play any part in her losing. She simply did not connect with people. To her it was like she had an entitlement because of her name.

2.0 out of 5 stars An Insult to the Intelligence of the American Voters

By JKlein on September 13, 2017

Format: Hardcover

Hillary Clinton ran what was undeniably the worst Presidential campaign in the history of politics. She has been the Democrats chosen candidate since 2008, when she lost to Obama. Every moment from then on was based on the notion that Hillary Clinton would be the president in 2016. The very thought that she could lose never occurred to her or her campaign. Her admission that she didn’t have a concession speech ready is an indication of this delusion.

What Happened. As a question it’s pretty easy to answer. As a statement, it’s a glaring example of her incompetence and arrogance as she blames everyone but herself.

Edit:

People have been replying to this review, claiming that it’s not verified, therefore I didn’t read the book.

I assure you I did read the book. I did not buy it as I wouldn’t waste my money on garbage, but I read every word.

This is a prime example of how the left operates. Disagree with them, or criticize them and they try to discredit you with false claims and blatant lies. They have zero proof that I didn’t read the book, but they state it as if it’s a fact.

1.0 out of 5 stars Not as much as I had hoped for

By Chris Matthews on September 13, 2017

Format: Hardcover

I run Bikram Yoga (it’s sweaty hot yoga) for kids from my van. For the most part, business has been pretty good, but I have yet to actually turn a profit. As a result, I have been unable to get my van the necessary repairs it needs like air conditioning, emergency brake and tires.

Usually, my van is parked on a hill here in Oakland and to prevent it from rolling down hill, I will angle the tires into the curb. For the most part, that tends to work pretty good. However, I spend a majority part of my time in the more economically challenged areas of town so it makes it difficult to find a good curb.

This book showed a great deal of promise as to “what happened” with the election in 2016. With so much wrong on a great deal of levels, it seemed that this book would cover all of that. In turn, it would make for a very nice thick book that I could use as a chock block for my van instead of trying to find a good curb.

Coming in at five-hundred and twelve pages, it does not meet my needs unless I want to buy another copy, but I cannot afford that right now. Perhaps this book will go on sale soon.

1.0 out of 5 stars Successful as a Self help: “How to blame anyone and everyone for your failure”

By RJ on September 13, 2017

Format: Hardcover

They should rename this title as a self help “How to blame anyone and everyone for your failure” I have never in all my life read more of a narcissistic title. I really did not know much about Hillary Clinton personally and always thought she was kind of a tough person. I realize why she lost now, if you read this book you realize she is someone that cannot face reality. Sad.

I enjoyed the companion book better. Not even 5000 fraudulent votes in New Hampshire and millions of illegals voting nationwide was enough to pull off the HRC Coronation. America dodged a bullet in 2016.

1.0 out of 5 stars She really makes you feel like you want to die. . .

By Richard on September 12, 2017

Format: Hardcover

Picked this book up at Wal-Mart out of sheer morbid curiosity. Returned it, claiming I bought the wrong book.

It appears to be written with the intent of securing a luxurious retirement. I really don’t think she cared much about the substance of the book itself – but merely finding ways to fill pages with content so as to generate a marketable product. At the end of the day, her name is what is selling the book; not the print on its pages. And even if she only sells 1,000 copies, that’s enough to make writing it worthwhile.

But if you’re looking for some kind of meaning or understanding out of this book, I’m afraid that it simply isn’t there. It’s merely the continuation of her meltdown performance, after being denied all other public platforms to on which to do so. It’s littered with baseless claims and accusations . . . a painfully stupid monologue not unlike that which you would see on an episode of The Bachelor.

The only conclusion that you will come to by the time you reach the ending is, “I’ve been had”.

I heard Hillary Clinton had Amazon delete the negative reviews on her book just before I went to press with this so I checked it out, and it’s true. Not to worry, I got most of them before they were deleted. I will be going back to get the next batch of negative reviews before they get deleted again for your reading pleasure.

Part 2 is now published. You should check it out.

    • We don’t know that she did. I do know there were MANY of us reporting the negative reviews as abusive, particularly those where it was clear the person had never read the book. I also believe Amazon reactivated their requirement that the book had to be a “verified purchase” from Amazon in order to leave a review.
