New Delhi: Seven years old child Prodigy Aaditabh Gupta wins gold in Novice Category (6-10 years age group) in Figure Ice Skating at XIth National Ice Skating Championship 2015 held recently at iSKATE, Ambience Mall, Gurgaon. The other categories of competition included Sub-Junior (for 10-13 years), Junior (for 13-17 years) and Senior (17 years onwards) Aaditabh Gupta also participated in Pair Dance at Ice in Novice category with six years old Konanki Vanshika from Hyderabad.
Aaditabh thanked his parents, Mr. & Mrs. Deepack Gupta, for their constant support and encouragement. He also gave credits to his Coach Ms. Simrita and Mentor Mr. Jagraj Singh Sahney as he received the young champion award from Col. Subhash Narang, President, Ice Skating Association of India.
Delhi-based Aaditabh, the youngest winner of the competition, spell-bounded everyone with his brilliant performance. Dynamic Aaditabh displayed his expertise with extreme ease and perfection. The event witnessed participation of hundreds of ice skaters from India and abroad. Participants from US, the UK, Russia and New Zealand gave a tough competition to those who are trained in India. The National Ice Skating Championship was earlier held hat Shimla and this is for the first time that it was held in Gurgaon.
