French legislators Extend Support for Maryam Rajavi’ s Call to Stop Executions in Iran

 

 

 On the eve of new round of nuclear negotiations with the Iran, a meeting was convened in the French National Assembly attended by representatives of different political groups. Maryam Rajavi, president -elect of the Iranian Resistance as the main speaker emphasized that economic relations of the international community with Iran , must be subjected to stopping human rights violations, and an end to death penalty and torture. The meeting was held by the Parliamentary Committee for a Democratic Iran,  a number of distinguished legislators also addressed the event.

 Maryam Rajavi strongly denounced the trips by parliamentary and business delegations to Iran where the scale of human rights violations become every day deeper and wider. She said: ‘’the regime is taking advantage of these trips to tell Iranian people and political prisoners that despite the killings and summary executions and torture, West is on side of the clerical regime.’’


Rajavi in the French Parliament reiterated: “I ask parliamentarians and industrialists, like many others in Europe who canceled their trips to Iran and refused to give carte blanche to the crimes of the regime, to reject any such invitation.
The leader of Iran’s resistance, while referring to the brutal attack on political prisoners in Evin Prison on 17 April, condemned silence of the Western governments in this issue and called upon UN to launch an investigation on this savage.

 

Rajavi stressed that during the upcoming talks, the west must impose the NPT Additional Protocol on the regime and also bring a complete end to enrichment and missiles programs of the regime. She mentioned that the cleric regime‘s main intention in reaching the Geneva accord was only to loosen the international sanctions, but this agreement has only delayed program to acquire nuclear bomb.

The regime has been able to maintain its atomic sites and even enhance its enrichment capacity, while it continues its ballistic missile program without any worry.

The Parliamentarians referring to ​​growing repression and executions in Iran emphasized that calling Rohani a moderate president is an illusion. The representatives stressed that the West should stand silence about the brutality of the Iranian regime against defenseless prisoners would embolden them to repeat these crimes .

 

French lawmakers asserted that parliamentary delegations or business trip to Iran without any pre-conditions on human rights, it sends a wrong message to the religious fascism ruling Iran and embolden them to more killings and human rights abuses. According to evaluation of the French Parliament , Rohani is a part of entire religious fascism ruling Iran and his record in all areas including human rights , terrorism and interference in the region and trying to loosen the international embargos , while continuing the sanctions regime’s nuclear program.
French Speakers echoed their support for 10 point plan of Ms. Rajavi for a democratic, secular and free Iran.
